Can I outsource hosting and WordPress support for my clients’ sites?
Yes. CoHosta acts as the technical backend for web designers, freelancers and marketing
agencies — hosting client sites, running updates and security, and taking the support calls
you don’t want at 11pm. You keep the client relationship and the design work. Call
(832) 224-3515.

You built the site. Now you’re tech support.
You delivered the project and invoiced it. Months later you’re still the person they call when
the contact form stops sending, when a plugin update breaks the layout, or when Google flags
the site as hacked. None of it is billable, all of it is urgent, and it always lands on a
Friday.
Most designers either absorb that work unpaid or lose the client to whoever will pick up the
phone. There’s a third option: give the site a technical owner who isn’t you.
What we mean by “technology partner”
Not a reseller panel with a margin table. We run as your backend team: the sites live on our
infrastructure, our people handle the technical work, and you stay the client’s designer and
point of contact. When something breaks, there’s a phone number that reaches someone who can
actually get into the server — which is the part a support ticket queue can’t do.
- You keep the relationship. We host and maintain. We don’t sell web design,
and we’re not building a design arm — if your client asks who should redesign the site, the
answer is you. - Support runs behind you or beside you. Your call: we can deal with the
client directly, or stay invisible and work through you. - One technical owner per site. No more “that’s a plugin issue, not a
hosting issue” ping-pong while your client waits. - A Houston phone number in Central Time, and a team that includes people
who previously worked at GoDaddy and Google.
Two ways to start
| Technology partner | Referral | |
|---|---|---|
| Best when | You want hosting and maintenance to be part of what your studio offers | You just want the site handled and off your plate |
| Client relationship | Stays with you | Passes to us; you’re out of the support loop |
| Who handles support | We do — behind your brand or alongside it | We do, directly |
| Commitment | An ongoing working relationship | Send one site and see how it goes |
Terms are set per partnership — a freelancer with three sites and an agency with forty aren’t
the same conversation, and we’d rather talk it through than publish a table that fits neither.
What your clients get
- 99.9% uptime guarantee on every hosting plan.
- Daily backups, free SSL and DDoS protection included — not upsells.
- 24/7 expert support.
- Free site transfer with the Technical Support Plan (FULL), so moving your
existing client book across doesn’t hand each of them a migration invoice. - WordPress support plans covering core, plugin and theme updates,
monitoring, security, form testing and monthly assistance — plus manual malware removal if a
site is compromised.
Moving a book of existing sites
If your client sites are scattered across GoDaddy, Bluehost and whatever the client set up
themselves in 2019, we can consolidate them. Our rule: as long as the files and database are
accessible, we can move it safely — including sites that are currently broken or stuck on
unsupported PHP versions. Each move is scheduled for that site’s quietest window and tested on
the new server before any DNS is switched.

Technology partner FAQs
Will you take my clients?
No. We host and maintain sites — we don’t sell web design and aren’t building a design arm.
If your client asks us who should redesign their site, we point them back to you.
How many sites do I need to bring?
There’s no fixed threshold. A freelancer with three sites today may have thirty in two years,
and we’d rather start early than set a bar.
Can support run under my brand?
Yes. We can stay invisible and work through you, or deal with your client directly — whichever
suits how you run your studio.
What if a client wants to leave?
They own their site and their data and can take both. We’re not interested in holding anyone’s
website hostage — that practice is a large part of why designers come to us in the first
place.
Do you work with agencies outside Houston?
Yes. We’re Houston-based and work with agencies across the US.
What does it cost?
Hosting plans and Technical Support Plans are priced per site; partner terms are set per
relationship. Tell us what your book looks like and we’ll put real numbers in front of you.
